There is even a bio-toilet that separates liquid and solid waste before turning each into fertiliser.

Rainwater is collected and recycled for drinking water, household uses, or as irrigation water for the green roof.

And forget chilly weekends huddling in the caravan, insulation is provided by sheep’s wool, triple-glazed windows and an elaborate solar water heater.

Designs show the minimalistic cabin decorated in fur rugs and soft blankets on the bed – perfect for enjoying a cosy escape.

Holidaymakers can relax in the snug bedroom area, which is separated from the bathroom at the opposite end by an open kitchen and dining area.

The sleeping area has a large bed with storage areas and a pull-out bed beneath.

The wooden cabin can be customised with plants and decorations so you feel at home wherever it is placed around the world

The Wohnwagon was developed for mass production although it can be individually customised according to personal requirements.

The company say the cabins are perfect for a range of uses, such as offices, rentals or even cafes.

Cabins can be expanded with a retractable awning, and energy from the solar panels stored in batteries found under the caravan.

Although The Living Wagon promotes simple living, users should be prepared to fork out from 40,000 Euros (£31,185) for the peaceful havens.
