- It’s hard to notice your dog’s differences when you see them everyday
- People have been submitting photographs of their dogs to Bored Panda
- The side-by-side photos show how small puppies can double or triple in size
When you first buy a puppy or young animal, they can seem so small that it’s hard to imagine them ever being any bigger.
In the space of just a few short months, however, they can grow dramatically and end up looking completely different to the pint sized puppy you’d purchased just a short while ago.
It’s only when it becomes a little harder to pick them up or they begin weighing you down when they want a cuddle that you realise they’ve somehow manged to double in size – and you hadn’t noticed it happening.
Bored Panda asked people to submit photographs of their dogs both when they were puppies and now that they’re older.
The differences in some cases is startling but despite their size, they’re all just as adorable (and fluffy) as before.
Can we play fetch? Mochi might have grown a lot in just four months but they’re still interested in life’s simple pleasures
Pablo the puppy: The differences might appear subtle but this pet has far more fur than before
Changing shape: Saki the Shiba is photographed almost six months apart but still striking the same pose
What a difference a year makes: Echo the Labrador at just six weeks and now at one year old
Growing up fast: This animal has gone from a puppy to a fully grown dog in just six months
What a difference: In just a short six months, this dog has managed to triple in size – as these shocking photos attest
Running towards adulthood: Atlas the dog is pictured at both five months and 18 months old
Same pose, different size: One owner decided to photograph their dog at nine weeks, 13 weeks and again at 21 weeks
Growing up: This might be the same sparkly pillow but suddenly it doesn’t look so big
Sweet Delilah: Photographed at four months, three years and at age 17, this late pet dog never lost its glossy coat
There’s no stopping him: A dog named Nucky looks a far cry from his miniature puppy self
She’ll always be a puppy to me: They might be older but this dog is still the same to its owner
Just as fluffy: Lennox the puppy at three months, left, in comparison to seven years old, right
Keeping classy: Teo has grown a lot from six weeks to six months and has even inherited a bow tie
From this to that: One Bored Panda user admitted their dog Spurga (Lithuanian For ‘Doughnut’) was once a ‘fluffy little ball of fur’ and is now an ‘athletic-looking lady’
Same pose, different age: Theo might have grown a lot in six years but he’s still the same old dog
Friends forever: This dog really is his owner’s best friend and was even his best man at the wedding
10 weeks compared to two and a half years old: They may be bigger but this dog’s grin is still the same
Unrecognisable: Batman the dog has grown so significantly that it’s hard to believe they’re the same pet
Striking the same pose: Soren the dog photographed at four months vs. 14 months
Seven months vs. seven years: Toris might look more serious in photographs but his behaviour hasn’t changed
